FAQ

How do I know if I should work with a financial coach?

Trusting someone with your financial wellness can be difficult. I offer a free, 20 minute discovery call to get to know you, share my approach and see if working together would be a good fit. Anyone who is eager to build wealth and reduce financial stress can benefit from working with a coach.

What is your cancellation policy?

Last minute appointment cancellations are difficult to fill and do not allow us enough time to reach out to those on our cancellation list. Missed appointments (not joined within 10 minutes of start time) or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for 50% of the appointment.

How often do you have sessions with clients?

In the beginning, I try to meet with clients every 2 - 4 weeks, depending on how long action items take to complete. Then, we move to the maintenance phase and meet every 3 - 6 months. These meetings are to maintain your financial plan, incorporate any changes coming up, review tax strategy and continue to work on behavior changes.

What is the difference between a CPA, financial coach and Certified Financial Planner?

I obtained my CPA license in 2011 and have kept up with materials but have not kept my license active for filing taxes. A CPA focuses on tax preparation and bookkeeping. I am a registered investment adviser and hold the Series 66 and Series 7, giving me the ability to manage investment portfolios and advise on investment, retirement and life insurance instruments . A CFP is a high level financial planner who does not give direct investment advice. I operate as a financial coach you guides my clients along in the areas of budgeting, tax planning, home ownership, investments and retirement.
